We are a Tech Consultancy Start-up located in the beautiful island of Mauritius. We specialise in Web and Mobile product development services.

Who We Are

We are a tech start-up founded by two friends who are passionate about technology and software development. We’ve talked to many people who have great ideas for digital products, but have realised that bringing these ideas to life on the digital market is not always easy and accessible to everyone.

We have this crazy dream of making this possible for everyone, and specially small businesses; and that, regardless of where you are in the world. This dream gave birth to blackCurrant Consulting.

For instance, we are used to working remotely and have all the processes in place to make sure everything runs smoothly despite not being co-located. We believe this is specially important as we are going through the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve successfully completed several projects remotely – this is what we do, and we are not afraid to say that we are pretty good at it!

Honest and Upfront Communication

We value honest and upfront communication. We assign a project manager to every project to make sure your requirements  are meticulously and carefully captured and communicated to the rest of the team.

The project manager is always available to help you with your queries and give you regular and honest updates on progress and any blockers which we might have encountered.

Regular Updates and Demo

From past experience, we know that many clients have had the issue of not being able to see viable continuous progress. As a consequence, at the very end, they realise that the end result is not what they were expecting. 

To avoid this, we provide live demos on a regular basis (typically every two weeks), and also make sure that you have access to a working version of the product as it is being developed, thus making sure that we are all on the same page.

I'm a passionate technologist with over 10 years experience working in tech leadership and software engineering roles.

I've worked mainly with small to medium size businesses on a wide variety of products in different industries including hospitality, entertainment, mental health, property management, and climate change.
